Responsibilities:
· Lead a team of approximately 50 employees in the design, implementation and project management of the wide area network in a wireless telecommunications environment. Also responsible for the security aspects of the network.
· Manage large-size projects of medium to high complexity plan and direct project activities to ensure projects complete on schedule.
· Manage the capacity and performance of the network to ensure optimal performance.
· Integrate new products, services and technologies into network.
· Must have significant knowledge of IP networking, ATM, MPLS, other routing technologies and protocols, wireless networking and infrastructure, network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS.
· Must have experience managing and negotiating with vendors/partners.
· Work with the sales department to implement new customer connections and solutions.
· Fills vacancies based on headcount and diversity targets in a timely fashion. Participates in employee salary planning and administration.
· Motivates, coaches and trains staff to maximize productivity and promote their professional development. Manages employee performance in a timely and consistent fashion per company policies and practices.
· Provide leadership, supervision, and personnel development, both within and across the organization.
· Manage processes and procedures and streamline where/when needed.
· Experience managing large budgets, $75M or more.
· Establishes effective working relationships with other Directors, subordinates, peers, other departments and clients.


Qualifications:

· BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience. MBA or Masters a plus.
· Minimum 10 years management experience.
· Demonstrated leadership skills.

· Strong technical, analytical, and project management skills.
· Knowledge of PC spreadsheet and database software packages.
· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Some travel required.
